Job Summary · Build software to improve developer productivity, reduce risk, and achieve scale · Create and extend automated testing frameworks · Design and build automated tests that allow the whole team to move faster · Deeply understand what is important to our business, and make good decisions about what to test, how deeply to test it, and the risks incurred by what we're not testing · Implement and execute automated and manual test cases with a focus on validating complex business processes, work flow performance, migration, and regression testing · Participate in the development of testing strategies to ensure product quality · Develop and deliver verbal and written status reports · Perform system quality assurance by executing test and assessment plans · Report, document, and track resolutions for software issues identified in the QA process · Participate in peer reviews of software design, with a particular focus on matching software functionality to user requirements · Assist in the transfer of fully tested software into production, including the preparation and distribution of software and appropriate documentation to users · Assist in the identification, selection, and implementation of software tools and technologies, and testing techniques and procedures that facilitates the SQA process Basic Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree · Minimum 3 years software quality assurance experience · Minimum 3 years software quality assurance automation experience Preferred Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. · Experience with automated and manual test case generation · Experience writing test cases, test plans, use cases, and test strategy · Experience in working with both technical and non-technical individuals in gathering information and communicating QA plans and initiatives · Experience in software development testing, installation, implementation, and/or support of a distribution web application · Experience with quality assurance and the full software development life cycle at a software company · Experience with testing, Web, client - server, and distributed applications. · Working knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages. The ability to read and understand code is a big plus · Advanced User knowledge and experience in Windows and Unix environments is a plus · Working knowledge of Unix commands language · Experience with MySQL or similar database products. Ability to write complex queries · Experience in technical writing to generate internal and/or external user documentation · Good analytical and troubleshooting skills · Must be a team player, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills · Attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work · Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and documentation skills · Must be a self starter; ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time Benefits Information: This position is a 3MHISposition and is therefore not a 3M benefited position.
