3M is seeking a Project Engineer for the Industrial Tape and Adhesives (IATD) Division Engineering Group

Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of IATD Project Engineer will located at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

The job involves the ability to discover and solve problems in manufacturing processes and operations. Lead project teams consisting of process engineers, designers, and contractors to build and install new manufacturing solutions to industrial processes.

You must be able to lead large teams of production and technical people that will not be under your direct control or in your organization. You will be expected to motivate individuals that have multiple responsibilities. You will be required to communicate verbally and written between individuals who are levels above and below your current position clearly and concisely.

This job will support operations in 23 US plants in 15 States and 24 International manufacturing plants in more than 10 countries. Travel will be a minimum of 15% of your normal job with some extended travel during installations which could require 50% over a period of months. International travel will be a future requirement.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required



Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering is preferred

Minimum of 3 years of Project Engineering experience is preferred

Experience with any of the following manufacturing processes: compounding, mixing, coating, converting or packaging

Experience in applying adhesive coatings to moving webs
