3Mis seeking an Application Development Engineer for the Aerospace Aircraft Maintenance Division.

Roles and Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:

Application development for advanced composite materials in the Aerospace market.
*
Develop strong market and technology understanding of the use of composites in the Aerospace industry and help guide development activities.
*
Translate voice of customer into product requirements.
*
Develop understanding of composite manufacturing processes and provide leadership to expand internal capabilities to prototype and test composite materials.
*
Provide application support for new product trials and qualifications.
*
Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.

Location and Travel: The position ofApplication Development Engineerwill be located in Maplewood, MN and will include 10% travel.
Basic Qualifications:
*
Bachelors degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university.
*
Minimum of 5 years combined experience with Technical Service, Product Development or Application Development.
Preferred Qualifications:

*
Bachelors degree or higher in Composites Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or Materials Science from an accredited university.
*
Minimum of 3 years experience with composite materials.
*
Minimum of 3 years experience with structural adhesives.
*
Minimum of 3 years experience with composite resins.
*
Key account technical interaction experience.
*
Excellent customer skills.
*
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
