Title: IDD Manufacturing Engineer

3M Drug Delivery Systems is looking IDD Manufacturing Engineer

The person hired for the position of IDD Manufacturing Engineer will primarily be responsible for identifying, recommending, initiating, and implementing programs in the packaging Inhalation Drug Delivery manufacturing area of responsibility to improve and/or enhance product cost, service, quality, safety and health/environmental impact through process improvement. Secondary are of responsibility is in the aerosol fill lines

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting manufacturing problems, and implementing improvements
*
Provide appropriate and timely documentation of work
*
Conducts well-defined technical tasks or projects of limited complexity with regular guidance that produce results used for decisions within an area of technical specialty at a project level.

Develops an awareness of scientific/process opportunities and takes initiative to suggest/test ideas.
*
Exhibits good discriminatory judgment during implementation of these projects, in evaluating results of those tasks, and suggests future direction based on these results.
*
Provide project support on Lean Six Sigma engineering projects
*
Develops skills and techniques required to monitor and improve manufacturing processes and develops extensive knowledge to aid in advancement of manufacturing technologies
*
Fosters and cultivates an extensive network of support (laboratory, quality, financial, manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of assignments
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Basic Requirements

*
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline
Preferred Qualification

*
Minimum 1 year engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
*
Working knowledge of cGMP/pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulations
*
Lean Six Sigma Experience
*
Strong leadership skills
*
Good interpersonal communication skills
*
Aerosol or metered dose inhaler experience
