3M is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Stationery and Office Supplies Division

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Lead and/or contribute to various cross functional team projects

• Project planning, management and implementation
• Supplier contracts, reviews and management
• Lean Six Sigma project initiation, leadership, execution and measurement
• Leadership for division projects and transfer of knowledge to 3M Factories
• New product scale-up and commercialization

Location: The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Engineer will be located inMaplewood, MN and relocation assistance is available. This position may include up to 10% travel.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in any science or engineering discipline from an accredited university
* Minimum of 3 years combined experience in manufacturing and/or engineering
Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline

· Minimum of 1 year combined experience with coating, printing, web handling, and/or converting technologies

· Experience with molding/plastics technologies

· Minimum of 1 year experience as a product, quality, manufacturing or lab engineer

· Six Sigma certification

* Good communication, cross functional team contributions and leadership skills
* Project planning, management and implementation experience
* Process engineering experience in converting, printing or packaging operations
* Product and/or Quality Engineering experience
* Supplier management experience
* Background in Lean Six Sigma project work and measurement
* New product scale-up experience
