Job Summary:

The position ofSenior Software Development Engineeris a new role to the 3M Unitek business, within the Orthodontic Products Division.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Roles and Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:

Specify, design, and develop high performance software applications to support the orthodontic market.
*
Use state of the art development tools and methodologies for application software development, especially on the Windows platform, web and mobile.
*
Interact with the business team and product experts to determine and understand product requirements.
*
Work closely with a high performance software development team in an agile environment to meet product expectations and milestones.
*
Participate on cross-functional teams to identify requirements and integrate with newly emerging technologies.

Location and Travel:The position ofSeniorSoftware Development Engineerwill be located inMaplewood, MNand may include up to 10% travel .

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited university.
Preferred Qualifications:

*
Masters degree from an accredited university.
*
Minimum 3 years experience developing commercial applications in a Microsoft environment.
*
Minimum 3 years experience with C# and the Microsoft .NET platform.
*
Experience with Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) development.
*
Skilled in object oriented technology.
*
Experience with database design using SQL/Server experience.
*
Experience withuser interface design and web development.
*
Experience developing applications for mobile devices.
*
Proven skills in software engineering methodology including documentation, configuration management, verification and validation, and commercialization.
*
Strong communication skills.
