3M is seeking aSupply Chain Supervisor for the EMD manufacturing site located inChelmsford, MA .

Job Summary: The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Supervisor will primarily be responsible for supervising supply chain and warehouse employees in providing support for production scheduling, materials and procurement planning, inventory control and shipping/receiving, including their coaching, training and development. This position provides functional leadership to assure supply chain targets, including service, shipping accuracy and inventory metrics, are achieved.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Provides direct supervision of assigned staff in providing supply chain/logistics services. Supervises/coaches direct reports through the use of 3M performance and development practices.

• Develops, executes and modifies supply chain product flows from procurement through distribution to support customer requirements, forecasted targets and inventory objectives. Develops capacity plans and prepare forecasts for raw material and packaging requirements, equipment needs, etc.

• Provide training and coaching on various Supply Chain related concepts and processes such as parameter management, non-working inventory management, capacity planning, Lean scheduling, procurement optimization, and customer service.

• Provide information, data, analysis and reports to various members of management based on extractions and manipulations using SCP&A reports, SC parameter management tools, Minitab, BOXI reports, etc.

• Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools and processes to identify, define and implement improvements to supply chain and logistics processes and performance. Lead Kaizen projects to improve service, supplier performance, inventor

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
*
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics or Supply Chain

Preferred Qualifications:

*
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production & Operations Management, Logistics, Business or Engineering; Master’s a plus
*
American Production and Inventory Control Society certification (CPIM or CSCP)
*
Knowledgeable of 3M Systems, such as SAP, Demand Planner, Demand Manager, Supply Chain Planner, Factory Planner, DSP, GDMR, BOXI, COMS or CSMS, BPCS/ICAP, E1M or Peoplesoft
*
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices
