We are seeking a Principal Business Developer, who will be responsible for the development of our web publishing business. In this role, you will drive our web display inventory acquisition strategy, negotiate partnerships to support Amazon's advertising initiatives, and have the opportunity to shape Amazon's next generation advertising program. You will hire, develop and manage the web publisher Business Development team. Responsibilities * Define the vision and go-to-market strategy for our web display media buying and publisher partnership efforts * Hire and manage a high-performing Business Development and Account Management team * Learn about Amazon's advertising programs, determine the right targeting to reach our ideal customer base, and optimize campaigns to reach monetization and efficiency objectives * Identify strategic partner prospects, negotiate deals, and manage relationships from start to finish * Drive consensus within the Amazon/A9 leadership team on overall strategy, roadmap and deliverables * Work closely with product management and engineering leaders to scope and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with our long-term objectives; ensure we are prioritizing the right initiatives * Translate market feedback into product requirements, and collect data and information to guide our strategies * Serve as the main point of contact and work cross-functionally with internal Amazon stakeholders to coordinate our overall web display plans and initiatives Requirements * Strong business development and negotiation skills with the ability to initiate relationships, assess partnership viability, work through long deal cycles, and close complex deals * Natural leadership skills with the experience and seniority to recruit and manage a team * Excellent analytical and planning abilities to design and oversee programmatic business development efforts targeting mid-tier and smaller partners * Track record of successful online advertising and media buying negotiations to meet/exceed profitability, customer acquisition and engagement goals * Proven ability to own complex, strategic partnerships with industry leading organizations * Team player with strong persuasion skills able to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders * Able to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving, small team environment * Must be technically competent and have a strong understanding of online advertising and display technologies, including third-party ad-servers * Balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on tactical work to get things done quickly * Excellent triage ability with the ability to prioritize projects and work * Data driven and quantitative" mentality with an ability to back up ideas with facts or examples * Entrepreneurial with an inherent sense of urgency; not afraid to take risks and get things done quickly while maintaining high standards * Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to speak effectively to any audience * At least 15 years of work experience, with at least 6 years of experience [more years preferred] in the online advertising industry Just submit your applicationonline, and we’ll take it from there.
