We are currently seeking a Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis located at our Wilmington, MA corporate headquarters. Provide financial leadership and support to the segment General Manager and segment staff. Scope of responsibility includes preparation for regular weekly and monthly meetings, board meetings and all analysis required to support segment manufacturing, product group and account management strategies, including the AOP. Conversations and analysis are characterized by business discussions based on reported information and analysis. (ex: How top customers are doing, how key launches are progressing, and how critical programs / projects are progressing. What needs to be done to achieve current year goals and properly position the business going-forward). Responsibilities: * Own your forecasts (business commitment) & results (feedback & corrective action) * Be engaged with your business partners (weekly / monthly). Be prepared & provide direction / recommendations - important seat at the table. * Provide analysis and project leadership (segment & site projects) * Become a subject matter expert and provide training on decision support tools & review processes. * Provide training and tools to all functions to evaluate and make: business decisions, pricing decisions, capital acquisition decisions and evaluate operating performance from a lean perspective. * Provide lean journey leadership in the implementation of lean accounting processes, lean information reporting and lean based decision support analysis tools. * Communicate well (elevator speeches, top points to make, don’t over sell or explain) * Manage a staff of FP&A Managers * Alignment & development of staff, business processes and systems tools to facilitate the above expectations are also a requirement of the position. Required Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred * Experience with ERP applications * Excellent PC and analysis skills, including the development of complex modeling * Minimum of 10 years of relevant finance experience required; experience within a manufacturing company with multi-facility responsibility is preferred Accellent is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and we value diversity in our workforce.
