Project Portfolio Management Manager + Job Listing at Accenture in Chicago, IL

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree


• Minimum 4 years of investment portfolio management and/or project portfolio management experience  


• Minimum 5 years of project management and team lead experience


• Minimum 2 years of exposure to industry standard portfolio and project management tools (design and implementation)


• Minimum 3 years experience writing business cases (quantitative and qualitative) to support IT PPM initiatives


• Minimum 3 years developing and validating estimates and work plans 


• Minimum 2 years conducting technology assessment and/or improving the business value of IT

• Experience with market-leading PPM tools (e.g., CA Clarity, HP PPMC, BMC IT Business Management)


• Familiarity with IT assessment methodologies


• Ability to articulate technical issues in business terms and vice-versa


• Competence in performing the following activities:
  
  
  
  
  • Definition/modification of project roles and organization to meet project needs
  
  
  • Selection and implementation of appropriate project management tools, estimating models and methods to support the project scope
  
  
  • Set up and management of program processes and infrastructure (e.g. PMO, configuration management, change control)
  
  
  • Measurement of progress/performance/ success of a program (e.g. using KPIs, scorecard) and tie back to business case
  
  
  
  


• Desire to continue to broaden technology skills

• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment


• Desire to work in an information systems environment


• Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills


• Able to lead high performance teams


• Experience working with Directors and VPs


• Experience at a large/ Global consulting firm (IBM, Deloitte, Cap Gemini)


• Ability to set own direction and leverage subgroup skills


• Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian


• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian


• Ability to travel 100%
