Accountant

Accounting Principalsis currently recruiting for anAccountantfor a large, stable, and growing company located in theNorthShore. This is a3 to 9 month contractposition and is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door!

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 ? 5 years of experience.

Other requirements:

* Excel 2007 (Advanced Skills ? will be tested)
* Word 2007 (Intermediate ? will be tested)
* Oracle 11i and/or R12 General Ledger knowledge (preferred)

Duties will include performing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and various ad-hoc customer service requests for multiple operating locations, business unit headquarter locations, and corporate legal entities. The majority of your time will be spent working in Excel and Oracle and the remainder of your time will be administrative.

Candidates should have a thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP, have the ability to work in a team environment, and possess excellent time management skills in order to take on new and changing tasks/priorities within tight time constraints.
