Non-profit inSan Franciscois looking for a temp-to-hire Accounting Manager.

REPORTS TO:ControllerSUPERVISES:Two Staff Accountants,
A/P Accountant, andPayroll Administrator

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Maintains and oversees the Foundation?s financial information processing systems. Manages the general accounting unit including: general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll. Manages the monthly and annual accounting closes. Monitors Foundation cash position. Responsible for compliance with regulations and related reporting. Assists in preparing for and managing the Foundation?s annual external audit. Coordinates with other auditors as needed. Provides guidance to field offices and program units on accounting matters.
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE:
Five to ten years accounting experience with increasing responsibility, preferably with contract or project accounting. At least three years of management and supervisory experience. Working understanding of internal control requirements.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting.
OTHER:
? Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability required.
? Strong team-building and mentoring management approach.
? Superior computer skills required, especially with Excel.
? Excellent written and oral communications skills required.
? Pro-active work style and strong interpersonal skills required.
? Working knowledge ofUSgovernment cost principles, FAR or OMB desirable.
