Insurance Reporting Analyst

Essential Functions:

* Reviews insurance company filings of company annual statements
* Major accounting experience with a specialty in insurance
* Contacts companies on inconsistent reporting
* Makes changes to database using FDUI and Company Inquiry
* Enter information into the Analyst Notes application when an item relates to the cocode
* Assists in reviewing and testing Financial Data Repository applications, annual statement, and other financial filings
* Resolves filing problems with the company and states contacts by evaluating insurance accounting
* Works with the data quality manager and insurance accountant

Requirements:

* Bachelor?s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or economics. Major in accounting is preferred
* Must have familiarity with report writing?SQL experience is a PLUS
* Ability to calculate figures such as interest, commissions, decimals, percentages, proportions, and volume
* Knowledgeable of basic algebra and geometry
* Insurance accounting experience is a major bonus
* The ability to interpret governmental regulations, complex business reports, and to analyze professional journals
* Public speaking is needed in order to communicate with groups of regulators and customers

The position is located in theKansas Citymetro area and pay will be based on experience.
