Elevator Supervisor (Day shift) – Des Moines, IA
This is a full-time/exempt position

This position supervises daily activities of an Operations unit (hourly personnel).

Key roles:

·Enforce safe behaviors, company plans, policies and rules

·Use experience and judgment to troubleshoot and problem solve

·Maintain effective and efficient operation of storage, load out and receiving areas

·Maintain inventory, housekeeping and environmental records

·Assign and track housekeeping duties.

·Track and document requirements for HACCP and Feed Safety Programs

·Assist in workflow and scheduling

·Implement and conduct training for operational procedures

·Ensure that receiving, storage, load out and rolling equipment is being properly checked and maintained.

Experience/Skills Required:

·High school diploma or equivalent

·3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a plant setting preferred

·Strong interpersonal and conflict management/resolution skills

·Regular, prompt attendance and ability to work limited OT, shift work, weekends and holidays

·General computer knowledge (Microsoft Outlook/Office)

·Able to climb stairs, ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting, sitting/standing for long periods of time, work with heights and confined spaces

·Able to work in a variety of conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures, dusty environments

·Excellent oral/communication skills

·Strong organization and documentation skills

·Leadership characteristics, able to motivate others and demonstrate team building skills

·Proactive involvement in safety

·Good mechanical skills

·Able to function professionally and efficiently to internal/external customers and colleagues
