Laborer-Peoria Corn Processing Plant, Peoria, IL

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Job Description:
General Labor – performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Operate bobcat and fork trucks. Monitor tasks through completion; look for ways to improve process and personal performance. May include:

• Manual labor
• Loading, unloading railcars and trucks
• Rework feed
• Sweeping and clean up
• Monitor inventory
• Lifting
• Moving material – with bobcat, fork trucks etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Experience in agri-business or agriculture a plus.

Applicant must have regular, prompt attendance. Have the ability to climb stairs, perform some lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, working with heights, bending, kneeling, and respirator qualified. Candidate must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and a dust environment. Must possess the ability and willingness to assume greater responsibility within the organization.

Must be willing to work on a swing shift.
