Maintenance Mechanic – Milwaukee, WI ADM Cocoa-Milwaukee This is an hourly position About ADM Cocoa Division The Milwaukee Cocoa Processing Plant has a maintenance mechanic opening within our North American group. ADM Cocoa is one of the largest cocoa bean grinders and industrial chocolate producers in the world and is a key component of ADM’s global food business portfolio. ADM Cocoa operates plants in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The Role The maintenance mechanic will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing pumps, gear motors, conveying equipment and packaging equipment. Welding and fabrication abilities, knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical background, boiler operation and water treatment experience is desirable. This position will also include interfacing with computerized preventative and predictive maintenance, inventory management and work order systems. The ability to operate a lift truck and aerial lifts is preferred. Knowledge of GMPs and/or food manufacturing experience is also desirable. Qualifications/Requirements ·At least 3-5 years of industrial machine and equipment maintenance. ·Physical Requirements: Ability to climb stairs and ladders, life and move a minimum of 55 pounds, sit and stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces and high areas, bend and kneel, and work in extreme temperatures. ·Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, safety training and safety compliance. Desired Characteristics ·Training in and/or knowledge of key safety program components, including Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, Hot Work, Behavioral Safety, Job Hazard Analysis, etc. ·Maintenance/Production experience in a food processing facility ·Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices for food grade facility ·Ability to collaborate well in a team-oriented environment ·Demonstrated experience working with operators, supervisors and managers to analyze and resolve equipment issues ·Experience with electrical work, including machine lock out and components ·Experience in or knowledge of HVAC work ·Experience in boiler operation work Essential Responsibilities ·Ability to multi-task and to perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance work with minimal supervision ·Installing, troubleshooting and repairing pumps, gear motors, conveying equipment and packaging equipment ·Welding/Fabrication Shift Assignment/Schedule The Maintenance Department maintains 5 schedules – 1st, 2nd, 3rd8 hours shifts and AM/PM 12 hour rotating shifts. Assignment for this position could be on any of the shifts. Travel/Overtime The position requires minimal to no travel. Overtime assignments may be required on a limited basis depending upon operational needs. General Information Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
