Quality Control Manager – Effingham, IL ADM Alliance Nutrition, Inc. – a fully-owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company and national manufacturer of livestock feed with over 40 locations in North America has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Manager at our Effingham, IL pet food production facility. This position is responsible for the day to day management of the QC department, which includes records associated with FDA regulations, HACCP and QMS compliance. A strong working knowledge of animal nutrition and functional ingredients is necessary as this position is required to review formulas to ensure adherence to customer specifications for both nutritional and functional properties. This position is also responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts related to quality at the facility and working with management to integrate identified improvements into the process. Detailed responsibilities include: ·Management of SOP, HACCP and QMS site specific programs to meet ADM, customer and regulatory requirements and expectations. ·Responsible for FDA, GMP, and internal audits. ·Review new and existing formulations for possible manufacturing or nutritional concerns. ·Exceptional written and verbal communications skills required to communicate directly with customers, both internal and external, as needed to resolve or prevent quality issues. ·Investigate and identify corrective actions for customer product complaints. ·Investigate manufacturing errors and documentation of deviations or incident investigations, including Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) reports, trending and improvements. ·Maintenance of GMP standards, including recalls, carryover and uniformity studies. ·Analysis of data resulting in continuous improvement of quality performance, product safety controls, manufacturing efficiencies, etc. ·Maintain the Environmental programs for the facility. Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred), knowledge of quality regulations and programs (HACCP programs preferred), and 1-3 years experience in livestock and/or pet food nutrition. The successful candidate will be decisive and results-oriented, have strong leadership attributes and be a team player. Relocation assistance will be provided for this opening.
