Drug Safety AssociateSummary:Provide continuous phone coverage for the Drug Safety telephone line in order to ensure a timely documentation and handling of adverse event reports, product quality complaints and medical information requests. The associate will refer all calls concerning adverse drug events and product complaints to the appropriate departments.Responsibilities:- Provide continuous phone coverage during normal business hours.- Retrieve calls/messages left on Drug Safety voice mail- Triage, document and transfer adverse events- Document and refer product complaints and respond to or refer product information inquiriesPharmacovigilance- Assess each phone call for possible adverse drug event.- Transfer any call with an adverse drug event to the contracted pharmacovigilance service.- Perform daily review of safety reports that are produced by the pharmacovigilance service in the Manager's absence and as needed.- Assist with the preparation of Periodic Safety Reports.- Review relevant literature for adverse event reports and process as needed- Attend and participate in Marketed Products interdisciplinary meetings as needed. Prepare minutes of relevant product information for the Call Center team.- Address medical inquiries from health care providers, consumers, sales representatives, and other internal or external customers- Process information requests from healthcare providers, sales force, internal personnel and forward to Medical Information Department as appropriateRequirements:-RN, LPN, or equivalent with BA/BS degree- 3 - 5 year's pharmaceutical industry experience in Drug Safety, Medical Affairs, or Medical Information-Must have effective oral and written communication skills-Must be fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)-Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Regulations for the post marketing reporting of adverse events-Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships-Must be organized and capable to maintain complete and accurate records.This position offers full benefits including: med, dent, 401K match, tuit reimb, flex time and generous vacationIf interested, please send resume to: JOBS@advance-now.com
