The Unit Supervisor works collaboratively with the Director, House Supervisor, physicians, and staff in the development and provision of unit services, providing both operations management and patient care management of the unit.Ensures that all patients on the unit receive cost effective, professional care that results in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining the highest level of patient safety.  The Unit Supervisor is an RN who role models the Nursing Department values, demonstrates a comprehensive understanding and competent skill level in patient care principles, and possesses the ability to objectively evaluate work performance, in order to assure effective behavior in this leadership role. This job may require the employee to be responsible for the assessment, treatment, or care of patients of all ages including neonate, child, adolescent, and geriatric.
