Financial Analyst II
Provide financial consultation, products, and services that ensure timely and accurate delivery to identified customers within the Consolidated System and the separate operational elements that constitute the system as a whole, with emphasis on assigned operational areas. Work closely with management and staff to refine, develop, and cater a menu of products and services that will promote customer service expectations, revenue enhancement, and cost reduction efforts.
Conduct financial forecasting for the consolidated Alegent Health system, each business unit, and related joint ventures, including preparation of pro forma financial statements, break even analyses, cash flow projections, ratio analyses, cash planning, capital planning, and evaluation of financing alternatives.
Perform financial statement review and analysis of consolidated Alegent Health system, each business unit, and related joint ventures, with respect to financial stability, liquidity, and growth. Assist with preparation of monthly summary reports, which include both quantitative and qualitative summaries of financial performance.
Provide direction, technical assistance, and consultative support to system leadership for all areas, including Metropolitan Hospitals, Hospital Service Lines, Affiliated Services, and Rural Hospitals.
Ensure quality, reliability, accessibility, and understanding around systemwide, key statistics that drive revenue and costs. Increase opportunities for adoption and usage of key statistics in reporting and accountability.
A minimum of four years experience within the Finance, Accounting, or a CPA firm.
Experience in a Healthcare environment preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or closely related field required.
A CPA or Masters Degree is desirable.
Must possess a strong knowledge of Financial Management and Accounting Theory and Practice; with a thorough knowledge of computer operations and PC utilization, including database software, spreadsheet software, and Windows operating systems; a keen understanding of hospital and other general health care operations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Notable problem solving and planning skills. Must demonstrate personal traits of a high-level commitment; motivation and energy; team orientation; professionalism; trust; personal honesty and integrity; and demonstrate an appreciation of the high value of others, as well as an attitude of dignity and respect toward others.
