As needed, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Performs radiographic exams using proper technique and positioning as ordered by physician(s) and provider(s).
Calculates and selects proper technical factors.
Adjusts the MA, time, KV, focal distance based on patient specifications and suspected pathology and evaluates quality of radiographs, procedures and services.
Processes films, files and logs completed radiographic procedures.
Processes patient related paperwork. (Ie. encounter forms, referrals, precertifications, etc.).
Monitors supplies and equipment taking the necessary steps to assure adequate inventory and optimal equipment function. Prepares the patient for the radiologic exam with proper instruction.
Assists the Radiologist as appropriate.
One or more years in an ambulatory health care setting with clinical and clerical experience.
Education and/or Licensure-Certification:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
ARRT registered or registry eligible preferred.
Nebraska and/or Iowa licensure per position specifications.
Knowledge of body mechanics and patient movement, radiology safety hazards, radiology equipment, insurance protocols, ICD-9 and CPT coding skills, risk management, quality improvement and infection control, medical equipment and instruments and organizational policies, regulations and procedures.
