Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse (PICU RN III) with ICU and/or pediatric (acute care) nursing exp at All Children's Hospital , member Johns Hopkins Medicine in Tampa Bay, Florida.

The Pediatric ICU Nurse works with children who are recovering from acute conditions, surgeries and injuries. The PICU Nurse builds rapport with pediatric ICU patients and their families in order to assess the physical and physiological needs of the patient. The PICU Nurse seeks opportunities to learn about pediatric treatment to constantly improve and update skills.

The Pediatric ICU Nurse educates the patient and family about managing their illness or other conditions, including post-treatment home care needs, which can include diet and exercise regimens, nutrition and self-medication procedures. The PICU Nurse must be prepared and emotionally stable to work with children diagnosed with life-threatening conditions.

• Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse (by hire date)
• BSN preferred
• 3+ yrs RN exp
• ICU AND Peds - Acute care exp
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Adult Cardiac Life Support required
• CCRN recommended.
