Description   Description:    The Enterprise Risk Return Management department within Finance Shared Services currently has an opening for a Staff Financial Analyst.    The Enterprise Risk Return Management COE (“ERRM”) was created in 2004 to increase shareholder value by helping assess whether the Company is being properly rewarded for the risks it takes.    ERRM supports its clients, including the Enterprise Risk Return Council, with processes and quantitative qualitative analyses supporting risk-return management decisions such as risk identification, risk evaluation/ prioritization, risk measurement/ communication,  risk modeling/ analysis and capital management.  Our holistic corporate risk perspective provides a shared viewpoint of the risks faced by the company and the value that can be created by understanding and pursuing interrelationships of those risks.    The scope of this job is to support the Enterprise Risk Return Management (ERRM) modeling team in developing and maintaining the enterprise capital model, performing analysis on capital, capital plans and risk position of the company.   The goal of these key enterprise risk management processes is to help the organization understand interdependencies of risks and potential returns/ consequences, leverage best practices at both enterprise and business unit levels, improve risk-informed planning and decision making and improve governance and oversight.   Primary Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the development, updating and utilization of the enterprise economic capital model.  This includes:
    1. Extract and process data from internal and external systems and input data into Economic Capital Models
    2. Enhancing the model with both new logic and new capabilities
    3. Assist with running the models and performing ad-hoc analysis
    4. Create and maintain documentation of modeling processes and methodology
  1. Provide analysis and support for Board/Senior Management and other risk-return communication packages including Enterprise Risk Return Council, Board of Directors/ Audit Committee, annual rating agency updates and others; includes synthesizing analyses and recommendations into a clear, concise and effective communication format
  2. Research and analysis supporting development of enterprise risk standards and guidelines, risk identification and evaluation processes; includes communicating results of various analyses as well as recommendations to management
  3. Assist in enrollment, education and implementation of standards and processes throughout the organization
  4. Perform ad-hoc analyses supporting risk-return issues impacting business areas

Qualifications Qualifications: Required skills:
  1. Advanced – ability to apply analytical skills/ techniques to research, analyze, synthesize and integrate data/information
  2. Advanced – strong PC application skills including Microsoft Office suite, programming and/or database management
  3. Advanced – able to work across boundaries and collaborate with individuals from other areas of the corporation.
  4. Advanced – work effectively in team environment and maximize team effectiveness
  5. Intermediate  – strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
  6. Intermediate – flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments

  8. Intermediate – familiarity with financial models
  9. Beginner – knowledge of statistical modeling or monte carlo simulation, and experience with investments or financial market risk is a plus
    Experience Required: 3+ years financial analysis or related experience preferred.   Computer Proficiency: Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, programming and/or database management; Statistical modeling a plus
Education: College Degree – Major preference: Finance, Math/Statistics, IT, Accounting or Economics
