This role provides design and development expertise in the delivery of the Cognos suite and business (BI) solutions

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
2. Five (5 ) years experience in Cognos BI * Report Studio development, Cognos BI Framework Modeling and Cognos Cube Building.
3. Knowledge of: Cognos BI, Framework Manager, Data Marts, Multidimensional Cubes, ETL, SQL Server and Oracle DB.
4. Ability to translate user requirements into Cognos models, cubes, reports, dashboards, and portals.
5. Experience in gathering business requirements and developing functional specs.
6. Strong understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling.
7. Ability to analyze data relationships and relational data models and map data across systems.
8. Knowledge of BI tool architectures, functions, and features.
9. Understanding of SQL and relational and multidimensional designs.
10. A successful track record of delivering complex BI projects on time.
11. Significant experience providing technical design review, development plan critique, code review, test plan/results review.
12. Strong understanding of relational database concepts - data modeling (dimensional/snowflake), SQL, query optimization, data warehouse architecture.
13. Excellent business interface skills at all levels of the organization.
14. Experience working with home health care data or health care application systems preferred.
15. Strong analytical and technical skills.
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals.
17. Excellent interpersonal skills.
18. Ability to easily adapt to fast-paced environment.
