Position Description
Overall Responsibilities: Manage and grow the Beijing ENERGY business to ensure compliance with established and agreed performance objectives. The responsibilities include the following main parts:
1.         Portfolio Management
a)         Be responsible for overall budgeting process for ENERGY businesses;
b)        Be responsible for making, implementing and monitoring the agreed ENERGY budgeting plan (incl. KPIs of GPW, NPW, Loss Ratio and Direct GOE);
c)        Be responsible for overall ENERGY business reporting (including but not limited to monthly, quarterly and year end business reports);
2.         Business Development
a)         Develop and maintain diversified and productive distribution channels including brokers, agencies (and sideline agencies), direct and alternative distributions that can contribute to ENERGY business growth;
b)        Support cross-selling efforts for the benefits of both Beijing Branch and ENERGY Dept.;
c)        Plan and implement business campaign backed by solid business cases;
d)        Stay abreast of current events & knowledge in the local and national insurance marketplace.
3.         Customer Service
a)         Interface with key external clients to ensure that service levels are met;
b)        Ensure all written customer communications (documentation, letters, policies and the like) are in accordance with established corporate standards and are written in clear and courteous terms;
c)        Interface with support units and inter-dependent departments to ensure the smooth workflow and maximize the full utilization of the management systems.
4.         Operation Compliance
a)         Monitor and maintain compliance with all legal, statutory or other regulatory requirements;
b)        Manage the operations of the ENERGY business units to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and business rules;
c)        Ensure all public communications (verbal and written) are in accordance with established corporate rules.

Position Requirements
1.      Good English in both writing and speaking.
2.        Strong understanding of construction engineering and insurance concepts.
3.        Must be a self starter with a strong marketing presence.
4.        Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills are essential.
5.      University bachelor degree or above plus 5-7 years of construction engineering, Energy/Construction underwriting/marketing experience.
