Job ID #: 81049 Employment Type: Full Time - Permanent Location: Distrito Federal Education Preferred: Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) Business Unit: AIG Property Casualty Relocation Provided: No Functional Area: HR Management Travel Percentage: Position Description •Work with global ER team and local leadership teams to understand business needs to prioritize and support a program of ER delivery including labour relations, business change, policy & employee value proposition. •Provide complex employee relations advice across country and across businesses, e.g., individual and collective employment matters, restructures, joint ventures and divestitures. •Engage and manage the relationship with employee representative bodies, where applicable. •Support the global CoE – including developing, shaping and supporting harmonized country propositions, where appropriate. •Engage with global and local HR colleagues to enhanced HR’s customer focus and responsiveness. •Increase HRSS Tier 2 (where applicable) and/or HRBP knowledge and capability in Employee Relations •Advise management in development, application, and interpretation of labor relations policies and practices. •Manage labor relations program for the organization: Analyze employment agreement (may be collective bargaining) to develop interpretation of intent, spirit, and terms of contract. •Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and employment contracts (may be collective bargaining) to assess industry trends. •Develop effective relationship with the business to promote good employee relations across the organization. – eg AIG Code of Conduct. •Advise, guide and support managers on all matters relating to employee relations – disciplinary, grievances and performance issues. •Facilitate meetings between grieving workers, supervisors/managers and business representatives to resolve grievances. •Facilitate employee relations workshop. Position Requirements Juris Doctor Bachelor´s degree preferred. Technical Knowledge: •At least 8 years HR experience within a global organization preferred •Experience of transformational business change preferred •Employee relations experience within a unionized environment •A working understanding of local employment law and best practices Experience: Relevant experience for the role •Relationship management of multiple stakeholders operating at executive and senior management level in a complex global organization •Experience of working in a strategic HR role within a large global organization •Evidence of high performance •Broad technical understanding of applicable employment policy and legislation About Us Chartis is a world leading property-casualty and general insurance organization serving more than 40 million clients in over 160 countries and jurisdictions.
