Position Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day management of the Finance Transformation Analysts
Alignment and standardization of processes across accounting centers
Analysis of the impact of multiple business changes on finance and accounting processes, including as a result of changes to reporting requirements
Maintenance of the integrity of process documentation consistent with operating realities and requirements, including throughout the Implementation and standardization of accounting centres
Application of documentation standards, including using the Business Process Modelling and Notation (BPMN) standard in alignment with AIG global process taxonomy
Monitor the reporting environment for new SI schedules introduced and need for documentation updates or new processes to be documented
Consult and agree changes with Accounting Centre Leadership and Design Authority as required
Represent EMEA Finance Transformation Process leadership in forums, workshop preparation meetings, design meetings, Process/change management meetings
Key Capabilities:
Managerial leadership including the ability to mentor, coach and develop staff
Proficiency with methodology and tools such as Microsoft Visio for documenting processes and/or other global tools
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as strong listening skills to understand our internal client’s needs
Ability to handle multiple initiatives with competing interests for time and evolving priorities
Ability to adapt easily to change
Strong analytical and process orientation with the ability to define and validate as-is processes as well as to design to-be processes
Understanding of the intersection of business processes with system processes
Ability to develop new process tools/templates needed to perform process analyses
Understanding of finance and accounting processes, preferably in an insurance industry environment
Strong attention to detail to document high level and in-depth business processes
Skills to use Six Sigma or Lean principles and methods
 Demonstrated ability to work closely with project teams, business and senior executives as part of a joint team
Key Experience:
Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience
Expertise in all aspects of business process documentation and transformation
Track record of success in delivering similar business process transformation initiatives as part of large scale and complex process implementation projects
Insurance industry experience
Collaboration with cross functional teams
Big 4 background as a Manager in process analytics and (re-) design
