Position Description
Global Actuarial & Value Management (GAVM) is a newly created group within AIG, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The group’s responsibilities include corporate actuarial oversight, group wide performance and value management, statutory and rating agency capital management, and rating agency communication and management.

GAVM is currently seeking a Portfolio Actuary and the position will report to the Head of Global Property & Casualty Actuarial Practices.

Responsibilities Include:
• Review pricing methods, assumptions and their application s in profitability measurements
• Analyze business or reserve segments for underlying drivers of losses or profitability
• Work with finance to ensure portfolio changes are timely reflected in reserving
• Support capital management function
• Support ERM, especially in respect of insurance risk
• Assist expansion of talent in advanced quantitative analysis

• Proven experience to drive best practice using global scale

Technical Skills and Expertise
• Preferred minimum 10 years of pricing experience
• Broad based global insurance industry experience a plus
• High level of statistical expertise and practical experience of actuarial modeling software, such as SAS, Pretium
• Qualified actuary preferred
