Job ID #: 57452 Employment Type: Full Time - Permanent Location: DE-Wilmington (downtown) Education Preferred: Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) Business Unit: Relocation Provided: No Functional Area: Travel Percentage: Position Description -Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts. -Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with acepted policies and procedures. -Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met. -Prepare financial management reports. -Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. -Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures. -Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. -Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities. -Monitor and support taxation issues. -Develop and maintain financial databases. -Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process. -Ensure accurate and appropraite recording and analysis of revenues and expenses. -Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends. -Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems. Position Requirements -BA of accounting -CPA a plus Big Four Experience a plus Working knoweldge of: -accepted accounting practices and principle -economic principles. -financial metrics -banking products and their accounting treatment, including investments, loans, and deposits. -cash flow modeling and statement preparation. -auditing practices and principles. -applicable laws, codes and regulations. -related computer applications. -3-5 years experience in support and use of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation, and financial modeling development and maintenance. -A minimum of 3 years of Banking or transferrable financial services industry experience. -SAP knowledge a plus -attention to detail and accuracy -excellent Excel and database skills ability to develop and maintain financial models planning and organizing strong communiation skills information and task monitoring problem analysis judgment and problem-solving ability to work independently About Us American International Group, Inc.
