This position is accountable for the promotion and sale of a broad range of products/solutions/services within an assigned district under the direction of the Sales Manager. Develops new sales opportunities, pursues sales leads and addresses the needs of larger accounts. Utilizes excellent products/solutions/services and customer knowledge to act as a consultant for high-level customer contacts regarding customer's present and future needs. Account responsibility will include, electrical contractors, and channel distributors within the Minneapolis Territory. Encourages partnering as a means toward account penetration and increased profitability.
•Sets goals and objectives, develops sales/business plans, establishes call plans and strategies, develops account profiles and executes the sales plan, to meet or exceed territorial targets.
•Identifies and develops account penetration strategies.
•Develops and maintains businesses relationships with major contractors, consultants and all Channel partners.
•Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Square-D / Schneider Electric products/solutions/services and competitor strengths, weaknesses and applications.
•Applies knowledge of Square-D / Schneider Electric products/solutions/services to meet customer's needs.
•Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction through in-depth knowledge of customer's organization, increasing account dedication, timely communication, and follow up.
•Post Secondary Education with Electrical focus or equivalent experience,
Engineer, Electrician, C.E.T. preferably, with combined sales and technical experience in the industry.
•Working knowledge of the construction industry.
•Knowledge of MS Office
•Proven selling, presenting and negotiation skills
•Effective written and verbal communication skills
•Strong background in standard and engineered distribution products, industrial controls for commercial markets
•Strong interpersonal skills, self starter, and team player with excellent organizational skills, results oriented, ability to effectively influence and collaborate with team members
