Description The Senior Medical Information Manager is responsible for the execution of Medical Information-related brand/area deliverables including scientific review of promotional materials, creation and review of scientific materials for Medical Affairs and Strategic Development, and the creation and review of documents to address health care professional and managed market scientific questions. Additionally, the Senior Medical Information Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Medical Information scientific deliverables supports business strategies, is aligned with Regulatory and Compliance practices, and meets the customer's needs. Major Responsibilities Direct Brand Support
Accountable for MR contribution to AZAP by: o Providing strategic scientific consults on brand messages o Reviewing promotional materials for content and accuracy o Contribute to the prioritization of review for promotional materials o Coordinate development, review and approval of clinical Data on File Packets to support promotional claims Monitor the medical environment and apply scientific expertise, integrated with regulatory and compliance knowledge, to: o Identify, analyze, and/or report Medical and Scientific Insight and trends to Brand/Area and MASD stakeholders o Impact brand/area strategy Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify creative and innovative approaches for leveraging scientific information to meet both business and customer needs. Consult with Regulatory/Labeling committee Consult with the US publications team to provide perspective for brand publications Scientific Content Contribute to and or lead the development, review and maintenance of Medical Affairs Strategic Development (MASD) scientific materials in collaboration with MASD colleagues o Incorporate customer insight to identify, update, and develop scientific materials o Coordinate with MASD, vendor and OSP resources to develop content Coordinate, create, and/or review Managed Market documents Coordinate, create, and/or review submissions to external Drug Information Resources and Evidence-Based Practice Centers. Lead the compendia submission process for MASD Provide consultation for response to Medical Inquiries and respond to Medical Inquires during periods of high volume Training Provide scientific training of the Brand/Area MIMs/VSMs/OSP Act as a resource or provide consult to: o Collaborate with vendors and key stakeholders to influence the content and development of training materials o Ensure consistency amongst created training materials o Develop internal materials to facilitate training for Brand/Area MIMs/VSMs o Provide scientific data mentoring and coaching for Brand/Area MIMs/VSMs. Contribute to and/or lead MASD and MR training initiatives for relevant products. Responsible for the content development for brand scientific training in conjunction with Director of Medical Affairs where applicable Minimum Requirements * Advanced degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred), Pharmacology, Science or equivalent clinical experience * 2+ years experience in pharmaceutical industry based Drug Information Delivery or equivalent industry experience * Demonstrated expertise in drug information communication and management * Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills * Knowledge of FDA requirements * Ability to apply FDA, legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements to Medical Affairs activities and drug information delivery * Understanding of the information needs for various customer segments * Strong collaboration skills Preferred Background * Clinical Pharmacy experience with patient care exposure * Drug Information Residency or equivalent experience * Experience working with Commercial or Brand Teams * Strong leadership ability * Experience leading projects and teams * Managed Market or HEOR experience * Pharmacy Licensure preferred Skills and Competencies * Expert Scientific Knowledge * Leadership Skills * Drug Information Management Expertise * Regulatory and Compliance Expertise * Organization Savvy * Communication Skills * Organization and time management skills * Strategic Thinking Internal and External Contacts/Customers * Medical Affairs Strategic Development Team Members * Key Commercial Stakeholders * Health Care Professionals (external contact) * Promotional and Regulatory Affairs Managers/Directors * Professional Associations and Societies * Managed Market Stakeholders * Health Economics and Outcomes Research * Patient Safety * Information Center * Sales Training Leadership Apply on Company Website |
