This
position requires at a minimum "Interim Secret Clearance" prior to
the start of work.
Candidate must be a US
citizen and either possess or be eligible for a DoD SECRET clearance. This work
is on site at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. The Network Administrators design, administer,
maintain, troubleshoot and support an organization's network and computer
systems. They are responsible for designing, installing, administering,
maintaining, and upgrading all connected systems and devices to include, but
not limited to: workstations, printers, servers, SAN and NAS devices, VTC
equipment, VOIP equipment, switches, routers and encryption devices. This
position also provides support for Information Security (INFOSEC) and trusted
systems technology. They work in a variety of IT job environments including
organization offices, government organizations, and organizational datacenters.
They help to maintain systems hardware and software, analyze problems, and
monitor networks to ensure their availability to system users. They also help
perform network back-ups and measure network performance and normally work
under a Team Lead who provides direct supervision.
Required
Skills and Certifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Six years experience in planning,
designing and analyzing telecommunications networks. Demonstrated knowledge
of Ethernet, FDDI and a working knowledge of operating systems and protocols
such as Novell, NT, UNIX, VINES and TCP/IP. Must have experience with network
analysis/management tools and techniques and be familiar with PC’s in a
client/server environment. Must be familiar with IT technology and long
distance and local carrier management.
Required: One of (CompTIA Security+CE
Certification, GSEC, SSCP, CISA, GSE, CISSP(or associate), or GCIH)

One of (CCNA, CCNP, CCENT, CAWLDS, or
CCDE)
