The member shall provide support for the migration of the data center and associated data network, including C2systems, located at the Marine Corps University (MCU), Quantico, VA to a virtual environment. The member will perform design, planning, and implementation of the MCU network. This will include: maintain internal MCU intranet/local area network (LAN) including the configuration of servers and network devices (e.g., routers and switches); provide systems administration support, which requires versatile technical expertise, to assist in managing and optimizing network operations surrounding all servers, support peripherals (e.g., storage systems, backup devices, UPSs, switches, routers, etc.) and accounts necessary for running a Microsoft networking environment operating in a virtualized (server and client) mode using VMware virtualization products; and provide system administration support for software applications running on the network, including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications. Member must have experience with Virtual Device Interface (VDI) interface, configuration and of Blade and SAN, and setting up large thin/zero client environments (large as in several thousand users).

High School Diploma; 10 - 15 years experience or BS IT-related field with 5 - 7 years experience; Micro Soft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP); VMware Certified Professional (VCP); familiar with VMware 3.5, 4.0, and 5.0; CompTIA Security+

Secret Clearance Required
