Summary:
Reporting to the Area Manager or Director of Systems Engineering, the Systems Engineer (SE) drives revenue growth by providing wireless data solutions to a portfolio of assigned AT&T accounts.

Directly support revenue generation through vibrant pre-sales support for AT&T customers within assigned accounts and territories. Support includes design, pilot, trial, and ordering phases for new services. These presale phoses may include whiteboard discussions, presentations, technical solution design, RFP responses, and other pre-sales focused technical contributions. Solutions will include, but are not limited to, line of business applications such as FFA, SFA, Telemetry, POS, MDM, Public Safety, SmartGrid. Solutions may also include the design of a custom or dedicated APN.

KPOs:
1-Drive Pre-Sale Engagements
Engage with MACs, account teams and customers to identify potential mobility opportunities which involve MSS resources. Participate in pre-sale discussions with customers to define mobile data solutions and create design requirements for customers.

2-Win New Business
Provide technical engineering support to account teams and MACs to help convert open opportunities into revenue generating business.

3-Concentrate on important deals
Prioritize and drive concentration on the opportunities that will best maximize revenues and return on investment. Be cognizant of the value of resources needed compared to the value of the opportunity.

4-Drive deployment orders
Proactively engage with MACs, account teams and customers to identify, design and support the mobility offers CCS, EAG and LBS which are deployed by MSS.

5-Minimize design cycle time for deployment orders
Ensure deployment orders are completed and validated in a timely manner.

6-Support Product Management and Marketing teams
Provide product assessment and industry knowledge to Product Management and Marketing teams.

7-Training and Development
Personal Training
Complete all mandatory training on time.
Learn and apply new offers when they become available
- OfficeDirect, MRAS, etc.
Achieve and/or maintain at least one professional certification
- CCNA, MCTS, CISSP, etc.
Present SC&D roles and responsibilities to outside organizations to drive engagement and knowledge transfer within AT&T.

Administration
Document each opportunity in OMS identifying key aspects (e.g., # units, ARPU, etc.) and products and services needed. Update OMS weekly, identifying when opportunities change status, are won, and are closed.
Expenses submitted on time and in accordance with AT&T expense policy.
Attend, participate and contribute in staff meetings.



Required Qualifications -

Job requires full Mastery in the following skills:


  • Test equipment (Spectrum analyzer, protocol analyzers (Wire Shark) and HP Internet Adviser, etc.)

  • Network Management (HP Openview, Tivoli, Telephony Manager)

  • PC skills (Microsoft Office, Oracle)

  • Tools and software (JAM, LOGIC, NT Server, WBCM, Wireless Site Survey Tool, etc.)

  • WLAN analysis tools, Site Survey Tool (Air Magnet), Spectrum Analyzer


Desired Qualifications -

  • BS Degree in Engineering/Math/Sciences

  • 5-8 years of experience

  • Manufacture's Expert level certification, CCIE Router/Switch, Voice, or Security, Juniper
