Job Description: Experienced UNIX/Linux System Administrator with current TS/SCI w/ CI Poly clearance to work in small team environment tasked with building, configuring, developing, and integrating project-specific cyber-defense system software. Duties will also include tiered-escalation NOC support, possible flex-hour and out-of-hours support, remote hands break/fix, development lab testing, and performing system maintenance of next generation solutions.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of credible experience in LINUX and UNIX System Administration including: installing and maintaining operating systems,
configuring and installing hardware/software, security vulnerability scanning and mitigation, configuring and utilizing monitoring technologies, troubleshooting, and sustaining the operational health of the infrastructure.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI w/CI or FS Poly
Desired: RHCSA and Security+ certifications strongly desired. The candidate should have the following skills and experience:• Configure and monitor virtual server deployments and infrastructure using vSphere or similar technology. • Advanced Systems Administration experience with UNIX (Solaris), LINUX (Red Hat) and Windows Server 2008 systems used as application servers, web servers, database servers, processing clusters, workstations, storage arrays and, network infrastructures. • Managing server hardware and software specifications, configurations, installations, and related infrastructure support issues• Server hardware and software configuration, installation, and support • Providing customer-centric 1st responder support or similar customer facing roles.• Conducting
infrastructure capacity planning for IT data centers and/or labs.• Configuring and utilizing monitoring technology (Open View, Big Brother, Nagios, Solarwinds, etc.) to detect, identify and troubleshoot infrastructure problems.• Writing scripts using shell, Perl or similar utilities to automate tasks.
