The Storage Engineer should
be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and/or experience: In depth
experience providing Tier III or higher support for enterprise storage services
In depth experience designing and maintaining a robust SAN/NAS environment for
DoD systems Understanding of MCNOSC operational and technical requirements for
storage Expert knowledge of NetApp, EMC and storage solutions similar to those
in use by the MC Experience with virtualization solutions similar to those in
use by the MC Expert knowledge of capacity management as it pertains to storage
solutions and capacity planning Operational experience designing and operating
enterprise level storage solutions for a global DoD service provider Experience
designing robust storage solutions with specific governance requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have demonstrated
ability to present material to senior DoD and non-DoD officials Extensive
experience configuring all aspects of Storage Area Network (SAN) hardware and
software within an installation Experience with all aspects of Storage to
include Snaps, storage provisioning, management software, recovery procedures,
hardware installation and security of Logical Unit Numbers (LUNS) and access to
each Extensive experience with Storage filers, software and hardware at the
Tier III Level and must have recent, relevant and extensive expertise with
Windows, VMware and networking Expert level knowledge of VMware The contractor
will be responsible for knowledge of equivalent and emerging technologies
At a minimum, the Storage
Engineer should have the following education, certifications, IT related
experience, and security clearance: Masters degree in IT related studies - or -
equivalent experience 8570 IASAE III ITIL v3 Foundations certification Engineer
NetApp/EMC certification (NCIE preferred) 15 or more years IT experience (in
addition to degree equivalent experience)
TS/SCI Clearance
