The mission of the S3 Training section is to develop and manage a comprehensive organization-widetraining plan to ensure Commanding Officer direction and priorities, as well as DoD policies for 100% training compliance for all DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce staff members. Training requirements relate to DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce requirements for all MCNOSC employees, to include civilians, military and contractor personnel. While contractor training must remain the responsibility of the contractor, all MCNOSC support contractor certifications and training requirements shall be tracked by the Government for compliance verification purposes. The contractor shall ensure that training certificates are provided to the Government for tracking purposes. All DoD8570 Information Assurance Workforce training requirements shall be routed through the MCNOSC Information Assurance Manager for tracking and validation prior to training execution. Completion certificates and exam details shall remain a part of the organization-wide Training Management files. IAT-2/Security+
