The Virtualization Engineer should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and/or experience: In depth experience providing Tier III or higher support for enterprise virtualization services In depth experience designing and maintaining a virtual environment for DoD systems Understanding of MCNOSC operational and technical requirements for virtualization Expert knowledge of VMware, HyperV and systems similar to those in use by the MC Operational experience designing and operating enterprise level virtualization solutions for a global DoD service provider Experience designing robust virtualization solutions with specific governance requirements Extensive experience with Microsoft systems and applications in use by the MC Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies as they apply to MC enterprise implementations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have demonstrated ability to present material to senior DoD and non-DoD officials The contractor shall have experience with VMware Update Manager, VSphere, ESXi, storage area networks, SnapManager, Windows Server operating systems, VMware vCloud and DISA Standard Technical Implementation Guidance compliancy Experience working with customers and vendors on configuration of features and functionality Understanding of change management processes in place within the MC and documentation requirements for all MC environments Experience incorporating emerging technologies into existing environments

At a minimum, the Virtualization Engineer should have the following education, certifications, IT related experience, and security clearance: Masters degree in IT related studies - or - equivalent experience 8570 IASAE III ITIL v3 Foundations certification Professional VMware certification (VCP5 preferred) 15 or more years IT experience (in addition to degree equivalent experience)
