The WAN Engineer should be
able to demonstrate the following knowledge and/or experience: Data
communications and network technology Understanding of MCNOSC operational and
technical requirements for WAN services Understanding of application and
network systems similar to those in use at MCNOSC and across the MCEN
Managerial experience in a GNOSC network environment with a significant number
of direct staff Experience analyzing and designing network technologies across
a mega global enterprise network Expert knowledge of emerging technologies and
experience applying new solutions to system requirements Excellent written and
verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to present material to
senior DoD and non-DoD officials. Network design, engineering, and operational
experience in a military headquarters or command NOSC environment.
At a minimum, the WAN
Engineer should have the following education, certifications, IT related
experience, and security clearance: Bachelor degree in IT related studies - or
- equivalent experience 8570 IASAE III certification ITIL v3 Foundations
certification Expert level Cisco certification Professional level Juniper
certification 15 or more years IT experience (in addition to degree equivalent
experience)
Clearance: Top Secret w/SCI
