Bakersfield Memorial Hopsital is currently hiring nurses to staff our exciting now opend center: The Lauren Small Children"s Medical Center! The eight-bed PICU cares for critically ill pedicatric patients with pediatric intensivists available to assist nurses and provide for our youngest patients 24/7.
The perfect candidate must have 2 years of recent PICU experience within the last 3 years required. Current California RN License required. Current BLS and PALS required. Must be able to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice untilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. Founded in 1956, Bakersfield Memorial Hospital was created to meet the needs of our community, and has grown from a small local facility to a large regional hospital serving all of Kern County. Today, we have more than 400 general acute beds, nearly 50 intensive care and cardiovascular recovery units, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, a full-service ER with nationally certified Stroke Center and the Central CA Heart Institute.
