Project Manager, Business Applications

Barnes & Noble College Booksellers, LLC is searching for a Project Manager to be located in their Home Office in Basking Ridge, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day management and successful delivery of IT projects working with resources across the IT and business organizations.

The project manager will be directly involved in all aspects of IT projects to ensure that each project is well-managed and executed with resources across all home office departments as well as others external to BNCB. The project manager will follow the pre-established, SOX-compliant methodology for the delivery of IT services into the stores. In this role the project manager must be accustomed to working in a dynamic environment with high client satisfaction as a primary goal. The project manager will coordinate efforts across multiple IT and business groups in order to deliver projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree is preferred. The ideal candidate should have 7 to 10 years of project management experience. Experience managing large IT projects in a Retail company desired. Consulting, Financial Services, or other regulated industry experience will also be considered. Strong MS Office skills are required. Experience with PeopleSoft Core Financials (particularly, Accounts Receivable) preferred. The project manager must demonstrate strong written and verbal skills, and have the ability to communicate across project teams, as well as with middle/senior management. Candidate must have knowledge of the full software development cycle. PMP certification is preferred.
