Communication Writer Specialist - Social Media Job Listing at BCBSM in Detroit, MI (Job ID PUB00038)
Serve as a project lead on the social media team. This includes, and is not limited to, community management of BCBSM social channels, supporting member inquiries received on BCBSM social channels, leading segment planning and presentations with internal business partners, managing and editing content for Blues Perspectives and A Healthier Michigan sites, managing relationships with content contributors while providing direction and counsel on content.
Departmental Responsibilities: Look for opportunities across the company to create content for A Healthier Michigan and Blues Perspectives blogs, and BCBSM channels. Edit and format posts for corporate blog and facilitate approvals. Publish posts when leadership has signed off. Share the responsibilities of online property content generation, coordination, monitoring and reporting. Contribute to weekly content calendar teleconference and coordinate with contributors to ensure fresh content for each day. Coordinate guest bloggers for A Healthier Michigan. Writing blog posts for A Healthier Michigan and Blues Perspectives. Manage and monitor BCBSM’s social media accounts for mentions, sharable content or opportunities to respond or engage. Work with customer service when necessary to solve customer issues. As Digital Communications portfolio continues to grow, become more knowledgeable on analytics, SEO, link strategies and more. Serve as internal liaison to business segments on integrated plans: IBU BCN, Medicare, Specialty, Total Health engagement/Health Care Value, Middle-Small Group, HR/Talent Acquisition, Community Responsibility. As Digital Communications portfolio continues to grow, become more knowledgeable on analytics, SEO, link strategies and more.
Responsible to plan, develop, write and edit a variety of assigned communications products.
Conceptualize, develop, write and produce communications; i.e. brochures, newsletters, fliers, letters and manuals. Develop speeches and presentations.
Assist in editing form letters and other mass communications to meet corporate standards for clarity, tone, style and correctness. Assist customer service units and/or other areas of the organization in developing and improving communication materials. Support special projects as assigned. Maintain a complete understanding of the corporate communications strategy and develop communications plans that support corporate strategic plan. Other duties may be assigned.
