Job Specifications An Assistant Store Manager''s responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:
Directing the daily activities of Department managers and hourly
associates;
Ensuring customer service standards are met through training and
development of staff;
Assisting customers with their purchases and/or questions;
Assisting in ordering merchandise for their specific areas as appropriate
for the local customer;
Assisting in the decision of where and how to display/stock the merchandise
in their specific areas, appropriate for the local customer;
Assisting in interviewing and hiring of hourly associates;
Counselling, disciplining and assisting in terminating associates when
appropriate;
Overseeing general maintenance of store to ensure a clean and safe
environment; and
Assisting in ensuring loss prevention programs and standards are in place
to secure company''s assets;
Training department managers and hourly associates on operational standards
and store processes.
Job Requirements Bachelor''s degree preferred
At least 3 years of experience in the retail industry, with at least 1 year
in a managerial position
Previous retail receiving and operations experience preferred
Knowledge of Citrix Kronos software required
