Job Specifications This position is responsible for analyzing Freight Claims which are created across all Bed Bath and Beyond and buybuyBABY stores, both domestically and internationally, for all modes of transportation including Parcel, LTL, Truckload, and our Pool and Consolidation network.
This individual will be responsible for producing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly fiscal financial reports from MS Access and Excel which are shared across the business. The desired candidate will maintain various production and reporting tools in MS Access and MS Excel. The individual must have a strong skill set working with MS Access development tools in order to run ad hoc analyses, generate automated processes and reporting, and produce database applications for the management of freight claims.
This person will be responsible for evaluating freight claims and making accurate judgmental and financial decisions in the filing, resolving and collecting of freight claim dollars. Additionally, this individual will establish relationships and communicate, both written and verbally, with all our carriers across all modes to ensure that all claims are resolved within an acceptable time period. This individual will also Interface with BBB field logistics personnel in order to obtain necessary information for the filing of large "Disaster" claims. This person will also generate, document and audit vendor chargeback's as well allocate payments from carriers relevant to the resolution of claims.

Job Requirements An ability to evaluate, analyze and interpret carrier documents and apply good judgment resulting in accurate resolutions.
An ability to create compelling arguments for the purposes of collections.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
An ability to work well with other team members.
Proficient in Excel and MS Access, including database development and maintenance.
2 year Logistics/Supply Chain Operations or freight claim experience is a plus.
