Description: Belcan is looking for a Chief Engineer
? Lead Chief Engineer function and advisory board with responsibility for appropriate technical guidance and reviews of any engineering activities.
? Technical approval authority for engineering/manufacturing.
? Lead the effort of building and maintaining an engineering services network that meets the business objectives of the company and makes available the required technical disciplines at the appropriate expertise and staffing level when needed.
? Resident expert of current and evolving technologies related to gas turbines and ancillary equipment (e.g. inlet and exhaust systems, reduction gearboxes and others). Develop and purpose concepts to implement technologies to keep the company?s products competitive.
? Assess available company and other 3rd party technologies for their applicability in the company?s gas turbines and drive implementation wherever applicable.
? Support disposition of current production and field issue including SRD?s, CR?s, RMRA?s, DMR?s, applicable ICAR?s and SCAR?s, supplier and special process approvals assuring compliance with internal processes, procedures, specifications, manuals and other applicable documents, applicable company and industry practices, industry standards and specifications, certifications and classifications, contractual customer requirements and product specifications.
? Represent engineering in technical reviews and discussions with customers.
? Support marketing and sales activities with current and future customers driving creation of product specifications, supporting technical proposals, defining design criteria, performance and process calculations and scope of work.
? Advise VP Engineering & Quality on technical risks and proposing mitigation methods

Requirements: Required:
? US citizen or Green Card holder.
? BS in mechanical engineering with no less than 15 years of directly related experience characterized by continuously increasing responsibility or 25 years of applicable professional experience in engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
? No less than 10 years engineering experience with gas turbines, modules, components, parts and ancillary equipment related to industrial and marine gas turbine systems.
? Demonstrated technical project management skills.
