Description: This position will be 100% travel from SC, to PA, to WV, to CA arranging distribution centers according to their purpose and how stock is to be picked, by applying bar code labels to bins and arranging bins according to how they will be accessed. This person can be a retired person who works from 6 week job to job or a young industrial engineering student or hands on crew manager with some distribution center experience that likes travel and has a history of successful projects and good supervisory experience references that would want to be a direct employee doing this work.
This person will be responsible for managing a crew of up to 30 temporary workers in directing them and checking/overseeing their work. Making sure that they are at work, being productive and following the directions laid accurately..so checking work for accuracy.
Requirements: 1st Choice:
assc degree or any industrial engineering education, a retired industrial engineer, or a person who has worked in a distribution center, with references that confirm their success as a manager.
This person will work from 0/0 foundation point to set up/organize the bins for product picking and apply the correct bar code to allow a fully automated distribution center to identify and pull stock for shipment. This means that this person can demonstrate their ability to understand the purpose of the distribution center, and the value of organizing bins and labeling them to meet the purpose of the center. This person will be responsible for having a crew of hands on workers place and label all bins, and this person will be responsible to check their work, make sure that they are on the job each day and capable of working, and meet the schedule of the client
2nd choice..hs grad with hands on distribution center working experience and some management background that is successful
