Environmental Health & Safety Associatein Gainesville, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

* Lead and manage the Environmental, Safety, health and loss prevention functions of the facility in support of the facilities growth, quality and profit objectives consistent with the organization and compliance programs

* Provide direction and training that will ensure a safe, healthful and environmentally sound workplace for all associates

* Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, safety and healthy laws and regulations to minimize current and future liabilities. Including: air permitting, waste management, water quality, confined space entry, for trucks/mobile equipment, electrical safety, lockout tagout, equipment integrity, management of change

* Initiate and implement programs that foster and encourage the reduction of waste in the Gainesville facility

* Implement cost effective and loss prevention programs

* Function as a company spokesperson during environmental health and /or safety related agency inspections

* Function as the site?s emergency coordinator

* Drive the implementation of a cost effective process safety improvement program

* Lead the site?s ergonomic team

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

* Bachelor?s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, safety and health or related discipline

* 3-5 years of relevant technical/analytical experience

FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

* Good knowledge of health & safety area as well as regulatory knowledge

* Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn effective negotiation skills as well as regulatory issues

* Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills

* Established business acumen and working knowledge of EHS IT systems

* Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
