Job Number: 170593 Category: A - Immediate/Urgent Need Description: One of the most popular brands, especially within the United States, of heavy equipment trucks needs several Lean Manufacturing Engineers to provide guidance and direction to help drive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles. Job Duties include but are not limited to:• Continuously facilitates reviews and standardizes production system tools and methods in close cooperation with Plant management. Coordinates with cross functional teams for that purpose. • Promotes, engineers and helps implement efficient and reliable Lean Manufacturing processes to guarantee efficient movement and delivery of materials and increase productivity and quality in station in support of production rates. • Continuously drives culture change and acceptance of Lean Manufacturing principles across the organization by communicating and demonstrating the values and practicality of continuous improvement. • Engages plant management and employees in conceptualizing, planning and implementing, and sustaining continuous improvements using the client's Production System and Lean Manufacturing tools. • Supports Kaizen workshop activities and events. • Drives continuous improvement, Kaizen- and problem solving activities using Lean Manufacturing tools and processes. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required. (Engineering, Manufacturing, Management or related field) • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience • A demonstrated understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, 5S, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma and Communication Tools, Statistical Problem Solving and QS9000. • Six Sigma certification is a plus. • Experience with lean implementation in assembly environments • Solid and proven project management skills required. • Excellent communication and organizational skills Our client will consider candidates that do not have a related Bachelor’s degree but have a considerable amount of Lean Manufacturing Principles, Project Management & Six Sigma experience. The Lean Manufacturing Engineers will report to our client's Manager of Production Systems. Full-time, contract assignments that have the potential of transitioning to a direct position with our client! During this potential 12 month contract assignment, 401k, Holiday & Vacation Pay are all available! Pay depends on experience level and client is ready to interview qualified candidates immediately.
