Description: Immediate need. Our client is seeking qualified candidates for the following position in the Marion, South Carolina manufacturing facility.

Manufacturing Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for new process development, technology evaluation and the development, process improvement, process standardization, process testing, equipment building, plant safety and plant maintenance.

The following is a more detailed list of responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineering position:

? Have general knowledge in areas of hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum system design. This includes valve function, flow control, regulators, manifolds, pumps etc.
? Have ability to study and understand existing processes or machines and find ways to improve by means of re-design, added design or additional training, focusing primarily on cycle time & downtime reduction and product throughput improvement.
? Have knowledge of machine and/or process validation procedures which should include: process and machine capability studies, Gage R&R studies, Design and Process FMEA?s, Work Instructions, SOP?s, QS9000, TS16949, ISO 9000 requirements, APQP, Engineering Changes.
? Experience in industrial machine and electrical controls systems to include: electrical panel design with schematics, working knowledge of industrial electrical codes, programming A/B PLC 5 and PLC 500 series controllers and HMI screen development, motor drives, servo motor control and application, robotics, vision, PC based machine control.

Job Specific Knowledge and Skills

? Experience working directly with automotive customers and knowledge of automotive systems, procedures, and expectations.
? General knowledge of machine mechanics. Have had associations with items or components such as: specialized tools and fixtures, pick and place units, shuttle mechanisms, cam driven devices, frames, brackets, index tables, screw mechanisms, cylinders, bearings, gears, etc. Has used AutoCad or other CAD packages.
? Project management, problem solving /creativity, ability to work in a team environment, ability to carry out projects turnkey, leadership skills, strong project documentation skills, employee involvement and continuous improvement discipline, strong communication skills, computer knowledge.

Education/Experience
? BS Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
? Tool and Die background a plus, plus machine design background
? 10 years minimum experience in equipment/tooling project management
