QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
? 0-5 years experience
? BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred, but other disciplines with structures background may be considered)
? Comfortable with general computer programming (FORTRAN preferred, but specific language is less important than programming know-how in general)
? Very proficient with MS Excel
? Familiar with MS Powerpoint

Preferred:
? Focus in structural analysis/mechanics of materials/lifing preferred
? Familiarity with FEA (ANSYS)
? MS or M. Eng. in structures a plus
? Comfortable with Linux/UNIX

Soft Skills:
? Detail oriented and thorough
? Ability to communicate clearly is essential, particularly in written form
? Ability to work in cross-functional teams
? Self management
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The mounts group does analysis and certification on various aerospace components, primarily gas turbine engine mount structures. Analyst will work in a team environment, mentored by senior engineers. Some interfacing with various other functions and customers is required. (Note: this is NOT an FEA position.)

Tasks include:
? Stress analysis
? Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
? Computer programming (FORTRAN, Visual Basic, Linux scripting)
? Documentation and report writing (for FAA and for customers)
? Technical and coordination support for design changes, optimization, cost reduction
? Engineering support for field and manufacturing problems.
